The [http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:DynamicPageList dynamic page listing] is not too bad to tweak from the examples on this page. This page uses "Dynamic Page Listing" (DPL) to list your tasks and goals. The distinction is that tasks are pretty short, clear-cut things, whereas goals are longer, made up of more tasks and less clearly cut.
The dynamic page listing is not too bad to tweak from the examples on this page. But it can get quite complicated if you want to try new things. While it can be complicated to make the results show up how you want, the nice thing is it is very quick and easy to mark pages when you're using the system. That is, there is some start up costs, but very little ongoing effort.
