When aliquoting media stock make sure to leave some empty volume in the tube (i.e., fill a 50-ml Falcon to only the 40-ml mark) Each researcher should have their own aliquoted stock of media. Take responsibility for aliquoting new stocks, when older stocks are almost used up. Make sure to use sterile technique in preparing aliquots.
