 A Flower of a Different Color by "Emblazon"

Entry titleA Flower of A Different Color Team members: Diwash Acharya, Sushma Kalle, Rajiv Manjunath, Angie Nelson,Binu Maria Sacharias, Melissa S. Sommer and Tiffany Walters. The team name was proposed by Rajiv and it shall be "Emblazon" and Project name a collaboration of all the members "A Flower of a Different Color". The project will be about altering the color of a plant to produce blue pigment in the leaves or flowers. Team homework is to find the genes that are involved in producing blue pigment, host possibly E. coli, plant species to alter and protocols to make this possible. The team will meet during class time to review what we would like to propose to alter for the plants and discuss what we have found. | |
