Entry title

  • Preparing media and isolating plasmid with gene.

Prepared LB agar and stored overnight in refrigerator on Tuesday. Thursday we autoclaved the agar, poured two control plates, added antibiotics. KAN to 700ml of agar in one flask. Added X Gal, IPPG, and Ampicilin (each 800ul) to the other agar flask. Poured plates, let sit, and stored. Thursday we also isolated our plasmid containing our gene and stored in freezer.
