* Today we got to start on DNA extraction because we had our skin sample arrive in the mail.  We went by the protocol on the skin cast DNA extraction procedure that we found. There was a shortage of collagenase so we divided the total amounts needed into fourths.  We made 2 samples, so we would have a back-up and one to balance the centrifuge with.  When we got the samples made we had to put them in the incubater for 16 hours at 37 degrees celsius.   Then on the following tuesday we can pick up with the next step.
