  • Mix 1g of gel powder with 100 mL of 1xTBE
  • Microwave solution for approximately 30-60 seconds until it boils and becomes clear
  • Once it is done, let it cool for about 10 minutes
  • Then add ethidium bromide (2 drops, ~8ul) *EtBr is a carcinogen*
  • Pour soultion into mold and use comb to brush air bubbles to the side
  • Insert comb and wait for gel to set
