Plates should be:
- flat-bottom, clear bottom for optical measurement
- tissue culture treated (not high or medium binding)
- polystyrene sold sterile, also may wash
If just measuring absorbance, then color is not important. Typically white plates are used for luminescent applications and black plates are used for fluorescent applications.
