Steps
1. Weigh out 25g of LB Broth powder
2. Transfer to a large beaker and add 1000mL of DH2O; mix well
3. Split solution in half and put into two separate bottles
4. Add 7.5g of Agar to one of the bottles and mix well (note: don't forget to label bottles)
5. Autoclave both bottles (Setting: liquid-45)
6. Bring bottle with agar to a luke warm temperature
- swirl it occasionally so it does not solidify on the bottom
7. Thaw and add ampilcilin to the mixture at 1:1000
8. Pour a thin layer of agar into each petri dish
- mark petri dishes so that we know it is ampicilin
