Wellesley College BISC110/112 Introduction to Cell Biology
Fall 2010

Introduction to Cell Biology Lab        Calendar/Assignments        Resources        OWW Basics

Series1: Scientific Investigation      Series2: Genetics
Series3: Photosynthesis     Series4: Gene Regulation/Enzymology     Appendices

Series 4 - Gene Regulation/Enzymology

In this last experiment you will learn:

  1. How budding yeast can be used as a model organism to investigate regulation of protein expression and cellular processes
  2. How mutants are used as genetic tools to investigate complex pathways in cell/molecular biology
  3. How enzymes function in vivo
  4. How enzymes are assayed in vitro
