This seminar course is designed to teach you about the microbial world around us. We will explore the actions and importance of microbes in different habitats throughout the semester

GOALS:
1. Learn how do selectively culture different microbes from the environment.
2. Be able to hypothesize as to microbial functions based on habitat composition.
3. Understand important metabolic pathways in the environment.
4. Learn how microbes communicate and interact with each other in the context of natural ecosystems
