Media Recipes

MS4 = BASAL MEDIA
Murashige-Skoog (1969) defined plant tissue culture media
4.42 grams/liter MS media complete(Invitrogen) or make by combining:
Nitrates
165g/l NH4NO3
190g/l KNO3
Sulfates
37g/l MgSO4.7H2O
1.69g/l MnSO4.H2O
0.86g/l ZnSO4.7H2O
0.0025g/l CuSo4.5H2O
Other
44g/l CaCl2.2H2O
0.083g/l KI
0.0025g/l CoCl2.6H2O
17g/l KH2PO4
0.025g/l NaMoO4.2H2O
2.784g/l FeSO4.7H2O
3.724g/l Na2 EDTA
Vitamins: 5mg/ml nicotinic acid, 4mg/ml thiamin HCL, 5mg/ml pryidoxine HCL
30.0 grams/liter sucrose
6 ml/liter of 0.5M MES, pH 5.8
1mg/ml glycine 100g/l myo-inositol

MS4 = SHOOT INDUCTION MEDIA
Murashige-Skoog defined plant tissue culture media with:
0.3 mg/liter indoleacetic acid (IAA), an auxin,
10 mg/liter dimethylallylamino purine (DMAP), a cytokinin.

MSP2 = ROOT INDUCTION MEDIA
Murashige-Skoog defined plant tissue culture media with:

0.1 mg/liter napthalene acetic acid (NAA), an auxin.
