Current Opportunities

Postdoc (Noncoding RNAs, Epigenetics, Stem Cells, Cancer)

We have an opening for a Postdoctoral Fellow to use and develop genome-wide methods for measuring DNA methylation and capturing novel long noncoding RNAs via next generation sequencing. Our lab is interested in understanding the role of DNA methylation and noncoding RNAs in cell fate specification during differentiation of human embryonic stem cell and in cancer.

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of fundamental molecular biology (nucleic acid manipulation methods and experience working with RNAs), interested in developing new genome-wide methods, and knowledge of basic concepts in epigenetics, stem cells or cancer. The successful candidate will enjoy access to cutting-edge technologies such as Solexa and SOLID sequencers, well-funded and intellectually stimulating environment of OICR's genomic platform, opportunity to drive projects and publish in scientific journals and attend scientific meetings.

Qualifications: Ph.D.in a molecular biology or related field and good command of the English language (verbal and written).
