I am from Tigard, Oregon, and I am a senior physics major, math minor at Willamette University. My research this year involves single molecule, three-bead assay of Acanthomoeba myosin 1c using an optical trap to observe the molecular motor's external force dependence, if it has one. I am a lock in the men's rugby club here at Willamette, as well as a proud member of Phi Delta Delta Theta, Oregon Gamma Chapter. Outside of this biophysics research, my own personal interests include material and neutron sciences, especially with respects to hydrogen fusion technologies, as well as the beginnings of a side interest in the chemistry of brewing beer.
