ChIP Seq
The BioMicroCenter supports ChIP (Chromatin Immunoprecipitation) sequencing using the Illumina platform. ChIPs are used to determine the presence of specific protein-DNA interactions genome-wide. It uses engineered antibodies to IP for the epitope of interest from sonicated chromatin. The IPed material can then be used for ChIP-qPCR (if only looking at a few select binding sites) or ChIP-Seq, for a more global view.
Sample Submission Guidelines
Users are required to fix their own cells and sonicate the chromatin prior to submission by following the corresponding Illumina Protocols. Our standard sonication protocol can be found at ChIP Conditions
