Biomolecular motors are regarded as smallest natural machine which can perform work with a high efficiency.
Various studies of biomolecular motors has been reported, recently we have developed a method termed as active self-organization
to integrate microtubules into assembled structures, especially ring formation, on a kinesin-coated surface by introducing a specific interaction
of streptavidin-biotin interaction. Now we aim at using this MT ring as a rotational nanodevice by running micro-sized gear.
In addition, we are trying to make it possible for long time running of the gear by introducing ATP-cyclable gel(MARIMO-Gel).
Our research will develop the molecular-robot which is the artificial micro-sized robot.
