 overview

Biomolecular motors (kinesin/microtubule(MT)) are regarded as smallest natural machine which can perform work with a high efficiency.
Because of these reasons, biomolecular motors are thought to be component of a molecular robot which have small size and high performance.
Now we aim at using the MT ring as a rotational nanodevice for molecular robot’s central power generating unit by running micro-sized gear.
In addition, we make it possible for long time running of the gear by introducing ATP-cyclable gel(MARIMO-Gel).
Our research will be the method which can practicalize the molecular-robot in future.
