Purpose
- The purpose of the week 7 redo was to go back and look at the feedback I received on my week 7 assignment and make changes that would improve the model I created in week 7. The two tasks I was instructed to do were to repeat my simulations with parameters from Week 5, checking to see if I get non-zero yeast in equilibrium, and to provide some pencil-and-paper analysis of the steady states to verify them.
Methods
- I started the assignment by looking at the feedback that was left for me.
- Next, I went and added the parameters from the week 5 assignment to my model.
- I had some trouble with my MATLAB equations, but after talking with Dr. Ben Fitzpatrick I figured out what the issue was with my equations and fixed them.
- After generating the new graphs, I did the pencil-and-paper analysis of the steady states to verify them.
Results
- The graphs that I generated from changing the parameters can be found here.
- The penicl-and-paper analysis of the model when D=0.05 can be found here
- The pencil-and-paper analysis of the model when D=0.15 can be found here
Acknowledgments
- I emailed Dr. Kam D. Dahlquist and Dr. Ben G. Fitzpatrick on Monday, March 20th, 2017 to resolve an issue I was having with my MATLAB code.
- Except for what is noted above, this individual journal entry was completed by me and not copied from another source
