Brenda is a 4th year Neurobiology, Physiology and behavior major and Theatre minor. She started working in the Chan lab in Jan 2009. Her general research interests are Neuroscience and Genetics. Her projects in the Chan Lab have mostly dealt with analyzing the effects of point mutations(in the parental strains) on offspring ploidy. Brenda also interned in the Dulac Lab in the summer of 2011 and studied infanticidal behavior in male mice(funded by HHMI EXROP).Brenda is currently funded by the (life-changing) BSHARP program. She is happy to be a part of the Chan Lab and BSHARP.
