News : 02 May 2014 Congratulations to Don Karl for receiving the Graduate Teaching Award at at the Department of Biological Sciences.The Crosby lab is extremely proud of him on this great achievement. 25 Apr 2014 Congratulations to Curtis Foreman and Florida Doci for receiving the top two honours at the Department of Biological Sciences Honours Undergraduate Colloquium! Curtis Foreman was the recipient of the Franklin-Holder Award for best presentation in Cell/Molecular Biology for his thesis work finding that “Acetolactate Synthase Regulatory Subunits, AIP1 and AIP3, Play Evolutionary Conserved Albeit Divergent Roles in Arabidopsis Development.” Florida Doci was awarded second place for her work on the “Examination of Orthology Versus Functional Redundancy Among Selected Members of the Skp1-like gene family in Arabidopsis thaliana.” The Crosby lab is proud of Curtis and Florida on their great success and would like to extend our congratulations to all the honours undergraduate students who presented their work at the colloquium! 04 Feb 2014 Dr. Brian Raught a CRC scientist in Proteomics and Molecular Medicine from the Ontario Cancer Institute in Toronto will be visiting our lab on April 28 and presenting a seminar entitled "TBA" 25 Dec 2013 The Crosby lab in Collaboration with Raju Datla's lab at PBI has published a paper entitled "An Activated Form of UFO Alters Leaf Development and Produces Ectopic Floral and Inflorescence Meristems " in Plos One 14 Dec 2013 The Crosby lab in Collaboration with groups in Harrow and Guelph have published a paper entitled "Genome-wide single nucleotide polymorphism and Insertion-Deletion discovery through next-generation sequencing of reduced representation libraries in common bean" in Molecular Breeding 9 Sep 2013 The Crosby lab published a paper entitled "A comparison of the molecular organization of genomic regions associated with resistance to common bacterial blight in two Phaseolus vulgaris genotypes" in Frontiers in Plant Science 30 Aug 2013 Seth has joined the lab as a new MSc Student welcome Seth! 23 Apr 2013 Crosby lab undergraduate thesis students, Seth, Evgeni and Kerry presented and defended their thesis at the U of Windsor Undergrad Colloquium. 07 Dec 2012 Don successfully transferred into the PhD program! Congratulations Don! 02 Dec 2012 The Crosby lab recently published a paper entitled "The SKP1-Like Gene Family of Arabidopsis Exhibits a High Degree of Differential Gene Expression and Gene Product Interaction during Development" in PLoS ONE 21 Sep 2012 Kerry was named to the Dean's Honor Roll for her excellent academic achievement! Congrats Kerry! 17 Sep 2012 Claudia successfully defended her MSc thesis entitled "A Heuristic Ontological Model of Protein Complexes A Case Study Based on the E3 Ubiquitin Ligase Protein Complexes of Arabidopsis thaliana" Great Job Claudia! 11 Sep 2012 Mohammad received a Queen Elizabeth II Graduate Scholarship in Science and Technology. 13 Aug 2012 The Crosby Lab will be attending the Systems Biology conference in Toronto presenting their recent work entitled "Identification of Ubiquitinated Proteins in Arabidopsis thaliana Using Protein Microarrays" 01 Jul 2012 Danielle was accepted into the MD program at University of Western Ontario, Schulich School of Medicine! Congrats Dee! 23 Apr 2012 Crosby lab undergraduate thesis student, Kim Chipman presented and defended her thesis at the U of Windsor Undergrad Colloquium. 12 Apr 2012 Mohammad was awarded the Graduate Student Society Award! 09 Mar 2012 Dr. Daniela Rotin from the Biochemistry Department at University of Toronto visited the University of Windsor and delivered a Seminar entitled "Biological functions of the Nedd4 Family of Ubiquitin ligases." 14 Jan 2012 Dr. Crosby presented a talk at the Plant and Animal Genome XX Conference in San Diego entitled "E3-Ubiquitin Ligases as a Use-Case Scenario For Developing Quaternary Protein Complex Ontologies" 23 Jul 2011 Dr. Crosby will be attending and giving a talk on SCF Ligase ontology entitled "From Protein Complex to Supra-Complex" at the International Conference on Biomedical Ontology ( ICBO) in Buffalo, NY. 06 Jul 2011 The Crosby lab attended a Bean Genomics group meeting in Guelph.
