Our research focuses on several areas:

*Developmental biology of the kidney and urinary tract, and renal-coloboma syndrome.
*Epigenetic and genetic mechanisms involved in abnormalities of the kidney, particularly polycystic kidney disease.
*Modeling of genetic disease and analysis of the underlying defect.
*Novel therapeutic mechanisms and biomarkers, including immune checkpoint inhibitor therapy for cancer, and polycystic kidney disease.
*Cell survival during development.
*Lymphangioleiomyomatosis (LAM). Non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).
*Cell survival mechanisms in cancer and therapeutic targets for cancer treatment.
*Epigenetic mechanisms in cancer, including microRNAs, and therapeutic targets for cancer treatment.
