- For my project I have chosen to explore the intriguing last sentence of the ter Schure paper: "If the ammonia concentration is the regulator, this may imply that S. cerevisiae has an ammonia sensor which could be a two-component sensing system for nitrogen, as has been found in gram-negative bacteria (4)."
- I have found a paper that discusses how yeast sense extracellular nutrients
- I found two math papers that discuss the Monod growth model. One discusses the parameters, the other makes modifications to it. I am hoping the discussions will provide inspiration as I try to reason my way to the modifications necessary for my own model.
