[[Endy:Victor3 plate reader/Schedule Access|How to sign up]]
We're testing a google calendar as a replacement for the old paper sign-up sheet.  The calendar name is '''Endy Plate Reader Sign Up'''.  You can access the sign-up sheet in a couple of ways -
#If you are a google calendar user, search public calendars for "Endy Plate Reader Sign Up" and subscribe to it.  If you send me your username, I will give you edit access.
#If you don't have a google calendar account, you can sign up using your MIT email address [https://www.google.com/accounts/NewAccount?continue=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com%2Fcalendar&service=cl here]
#If you use a different calendar application or RSS feed reader, you can subscribe to the ical file or the xml feed that are linked below although that won't let you edit the calendar.
#*[http://www.google.com/calendar/ical/endy_plate_reader@mit.edu/public/basic iCal link]
#*[http://www.google.com/calendar/feeds/endy_plate_reader@mit.edu/public/basic xml link]
#The calendar should be open on the desktop of the plate reader computer.

Introduction

The Endy lab has a Perkin Elmer Victor3 plate reader with 2 dispenser pumps. If you are interested in trying our plate reader or finding out more about it, contact Barry. The machine can make the following classes of measurement -

  • Time-resolved fluorometry
  • Fluorometry
  • Photometry
  • Luminometry
  • Fluorescence polarization
  • LANCE

We have a variety of filters to be used with these measurements, they are described here. If you haven't used the machine before, have a look at this overview of using the plate reader. If you have used this machine or similar machines, have a look at some of the usage notes and data analysis pages listed below. All contributions are welcome.
