Frozen Stocks
Prepare an overnight culture of your bacteria using the appropriate antibiotics.
Subculture the bacteria the next morning.
When the culture is thick and cloudy, put 850 uL of the culture in a cryovial, add 150 uL of 80% glycerol, and vortex.
YOU MUST VORTEX THE CULTURE FOR IT TO FREEZE PROPERLY.
Place the cryovial in the appropriate box in the -80 freezer and make sure to update the -80 database.
