| I usually have several undergraduate students working with me, and several who work with my graduate students. I am always interested in working with students who are strongly motivated. Previous experience is good -- but I don't expect that many undergraduate students have experience in research. The best recommendation for you is having strong motivation and willingness to work and learn.

| Some recent undergraduate students working in my lab have been involved in giving presentations to national scientific conferences, and these projects will lead to published papers in scientific journals. Others -- generally those with less experience -- have acted as field assistants. We can discuss the level at which you can work in the lab, and we can train you to do what is necessary.

| If you think you may be interested, or want more information, the best thing to do is to email me. Also, take a look at the links for "current projects" and "recent papers." Our department requires that students registering for credit for undergraduate research have at least a 3.0 GPA. Please be sure that you know what's expected: read the syllabus for undergrad research and the for everyone working in the lab.
