DNA Extraction of Samples Gt.5-1 and Gt.5-2

• The extraction process for samples Gt.5-1 and Gt.5-2 was completed using the QIAGEN DNeasy Blood and Tissue Kit. The same protocol was used as the previous extraction except the amount of final buffer added (Buffer AE) used was a little different. In sample Gt.5-1, 35µl of Buffer AE was used and in sample Gt.5-2, 100µl Buffer AE was used. This was done to see if the final concentration of DNA is affected. For Monday, we will run a Qubit to observe the DNA concentrations of both samples.
