About Us Gunawan Group 2007 Welcome to the Gunawan Research Lab! The group research activities are in the area of systems biology with particular emphasis in the development and application of systems theoretic tools for modeling, analysis, and control of diseases, including cancer and other infectious illnesses. The overarching goal is to elucidate the causality in diseases through modeling and systems analysis for the identification of drug targets, disease biomarkers, and other treatments. The specific applications include: Reverse-engineering of stochastic biological systems Synergistic analysis of apoptotic inducing cancer drugs Modeling of quorum sensing bacterial infection We are working closely with cancer biologists and infectious disease experts to validate and implement the results of our research.
