Hemoglobin Mutants
Wild Type
This DNA was the gift of Daniel Goldberg at WUSL. The original articles for Goldberg's work can be found here and here. The gene is housed in the pET-3d vector, which has ampicillin resistance and no His6 sequence. The plasmid can be found in aqueous solution in the -20 freezer in Beeghly 203B (in the Hemoglobin box labeled - WT Asc Hb in pET-3d 0.46μg/μL) or as transformed into BL21 (DE3) cells as a glycerol stock in the -80 freezer in Beeghly 303 (in the Hartings Lab Glycerol stocks box labeled as WT Asc Hb).
WT Sequence formatted with amino acids
K31C
This vector housed in the pET-3d plasmid was prepared via a PCR mutation. The plasmid can be found in aqueous solution in the -20 freezer in Beeghly 203B (in the Hemoglobin box labeled - K31C Asc Hb in pET-3d) or as transformed into BL21 (DE3) cells as a glycerol stock in the -80 freezer in Beeghly 303 (in the Hartings Lab Glycerol stocks box labeled as K31 Asc Hb).

T109C
We have not been able to produce this gene yet using PCR mutation.
K31C T109C
We have not been able to produce this gene yet using PCR mutation.
M33S
This vector housed in the pET-3d plasmid was prepared via a PCR mutation. The plasmid can be found as a glycerol stock in NovaBlue cells in the -80 freezer in Beeghly 303 (in the Hartings Lab Glycerol stocks box labeled as M33S Asc Hb Col 3).

M33S M103S
This vector housed in the pET-3d plasmid was prepared via a PCR mutation. The plasmid can be found as a glycerol stock in Nova Blue cells the -80 freezer in Beeghly 303 (in the Hartings Lab Glycerol stocks box labeled as M33S M103S Asc Hb Col 1).
