Introduction

  • Student contributions to the wiki represent a significant portion of each student's grade in this class. Those with little or no experience contributing to wikis should carefully review the links on this page and contact the TF with any questions.
  • A wiki is a type of website that allows the visitors themselves to easily add, remove, and otherwise edit and change some available content. MediaWiki is a software package, and a specific implementation of the wiki concept. OpenWetWare was founded by a group of researchers "interested in increasing the amount of organization, dissemination, and communication in biological research", and uses a customized version of MediaWiki to achieve this goal.
