Project Description/AbstractSynthetic Biology seeks to use information biologists have learned about genetic code and its expression to control and create man-made machines for various purposes. This field has specifically been focused in genetic sequence replacements, mutations, and expression. I want to start to apply principle of engineering and synthetic biology with the scientific knowledge of epigenetic functionality of DNA to a useful end. Presently, I am considering ways to mimic computation at the epigenetic level using histone tail modifications to express or repress effective gene sequences. Also, I'm interested in in vitro assembly of chromatin. Notes
