Circuit project ideas:

Bioluminescense : proteins like "M-Cherry" instead of flourescent proteins... Structure: Messenger protein downstream of color protein, downstream of organic molecule-activated promoter

(Peking U did something like this--sequential color change--but UV activated. MIT team idea: bacterial lava lamp?)
