A Brief Introduction to Citadel iGEM

Citadel iGEM is a undergraduate-level research group at The Citadel: The Military College of South Carolina. The interdisciplinary team is composed of students and educators who share a common goal: to design and build biological machines using standardized genetic parts. Their accomplishments will be presented at the International Genetically Engineered Machines (iGEM) competition. Citadel iGEM will compete for the first time in 2010.

The Purpose of the Wiki

To be a communication tool for the students and teachers at Citadel iGEM. Also to be a place for our guests to become acquainted with the emerging discipline of synthetic biology, to learn about iGEM, and to follow The Citadel's progress.

Citadel iGEM is official recognized by The Citadel: The Military College of South Carolina.
