August 8th, 2011

  • Transformed yeast cells with Kozminski’s reagents as well as the reagents from the Sigma Aldrich kit, but we followed Kozminski’s protocol for both sets of reagents.
  • Worked on Wiki information and modeling as we waited for oligos. Found out there may be mites growing on our plates, which would explain why we haven’t been getting any yeast growth. Kay said the 4C incubator we’ve been storing our plates on may not be as clean as we would like so we should store plates in a box at room temperature.
