July 16th, 2010

  • Held SKYPE conference with UVA subteam; discussed progress and problems
  • Miniprepped copper construct
  • Quantified DNA of miniprep
  • Repeated CuSO4 treatments on E. coli
  • Aliquoted 1 ml of the CuSO4 treated cultures (above) to microcentrifuge tubes, centrifuged, and observed pellets for fluorescence with UV lamp
  • Researched copper toxicity in E. coli
