I am flexible and open to new ideas, which has not only spawned my interest in science and research, but also led me to travel and work abroad.  My sociable, yet polite and respectful manner has helped me to establish extensive private and professional global networks.<br><br>Ever since my childhood I have had a strong interest in information technology. Combining these experiences with my communication and networking skills, I have co-founded, organized, hosted and maintained the online presence of the [http://www.rna.ethz.ch/ RNA Club Zurich] and further organized a seminar series on web utilites and software tools that was supported by the Life Science Zurich Graduate School.<br><br>As a balance for my work and the more intellectually oriented interests, I am pursuing various sports activities, both on a competitive and recreational level. For example, I have played, coached and been a team captain of various baseball teams for more than ten years and in various countries.
