Plant-Environment Interactions

Our research laboratory studies the adaptation of plants to local environments from an evolutionary and molecular perspective. Current activities

Scientific interests. We're interested in genetics of natural variation, population genetics and molecular biology. We're currently studying immune-receptor gene variation and the effect of temperature on modulation of defense in frame of the project DISEASENVIRON (Career Integration Grant, Marie-Curie Actions, EU).

Applied research. Our lab collaborates with the group of Prof. A.F. Tiburcio to study polyamine homeostasis in plants and its practical applications for inducing stress tolerance against abiotic stresses.
