- AM1 - Methylobacterium extorquens
- 5GB1 - Methylomicrobium buryatense
- Grows in NMS2 (NMS minimal salts + 0.75% NaCl)
- Grows at 30°C
- Substrates = Methane, methanol
- 20Z - Methylomicrobium alcaliphilum
- Grows in NMS3 (NMS minimal salts + 3% NaCl)
- Grows at 30°C
- Substrates = Methane, methanol
- OB3b - Methylosinus trichosporum
- Bath - Methylococcus capsulatus
- LW13 - Methylomonas
- FAM5 -Methyloversatilis universalis
- Grows in 0.3% Hypho
- Requires vitamin supplement
- Grows at 30°C
- Substrates = Methylamine, methanol
