Purpose
- The purpose of this assignment is to hypothesize what the impact of ammonium feet rate is on a quantity of interest in a chosen journal article and devise a system of differential equations that captures the important behaviors using state variables that are necessary to the process.

- Pick one of the two general projects above.
- For this assignment, I chose the Albertin et al (2011) paper, which is part of the "gaining a better understanding of the fermentation/respiration switch" project.
- Carefully read the first paper associated with your project.
- Attached is a PDF of the notes that I took on this paper as I was reading it. I used these notes to better understand how different variables were related and write a system of differential equations.

- Propose a hypothesis about the impact of the ammonium feed rate on a quantity of interest (alcohol, carbon dioxide, glutamate, etc). This quantity may or may not be one quantified in the figures of the Journal Club One paper.
- Delineate state variables that are necessary to the process.
- Write a system of differential equations that you think captures the important behaviors.
- Explain and justify the terms in your differential equation system.
