Oli's PhD (2008 onwards) research in synthetic biology is jointly supervised by Claire Grierson and Mario Di Bernardo (Engineering Mathematics, University of Bristol) in collaboration with Nigel Savery (Biochemistry, University of Bristol). We are using mathematical modelling to predict the behaviour of novel gene networks in Escherichia coli. We are then using molecular approaches to build and test these novel networks.
