A short description of our topic


Project Overview

Experiments have been performed that effectively showed that RNA interference is a successful method of preventing HIV replication through the regulation of viral genes, or cellular genes necessary for infection. We would like to explore is in the delivery and localization of the siRNA into undifferentiated embryonic gamete cells for prevention and defense against HIV before an immune response is triggered during the transmission stage of infection. We would specifically like to target helper T cells in the immune response system.
