Overview

Neutral Red for gHV68 (DW)

Materials

  • Neutral Red
  • Whatman filter paper
  • Bottles

Procedure

Stock Solution:

  1. Add 25g neutral red to 2 liters water.
  2. Incubate o/n at 56C protected from light.
  3. Filter through Whatman filter paper.
  4. Aliquot into small bottles and wrap in tin foil.
  5. Autoclave.
  6. Store stock at RT.

Working solution:

  1. Dilute 3 ml stock solution per 100 ml PBS.
  2. Filter.
  3. Apply to methylcellulose.

  1. 242.5ml PBS + 7.5ml Stock Neutral Red = 250ml Working Stock Neutral Red
