  • Your lab assignment should address the six requirements stated in Lab Assignment #2. Make sure to include the name of your partner and of anyone who supplied you with data. You will want to avoid borrowing data unless you discussed this in advance with Steve, Clarissa or me (Scott).
  • I (Scott) recommend that you estimate the thermal noise limit from the equations in the attached lecture summary and compare this with your measurement before the end of Tuesday. That way you can redo a measurement if necessary. If the theory and measurement are off by much more than an order of magnitude, it is likely due to errors in calibration of your measurement (e.g. amplifier gain).
