The Continuing Umbrella of Research Education or CURE Project is a program of research mentorship training at the Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU), sponsored by the OHSU Knight Cancer Institute & the OHSU Center for Diversity and Multicultural Affairs. It is designed to offer research experiences to students, who excel academically and who also come from socially and economically disadvantaged populations from the Portland metropolitan area. The long-term goals of this program are to give hands-on research experience and science exposure to students and increase participation of underserved and minority students in biomedical research and other health-related fields.
