==Introduction to the Gene Ontology==
* Insert content here...

I led the seminar today, introducing the concepts of the Gene Ontology. This was a very light "getting to know you" lecture. My slides [http://slidesha.re/bbOXSq] focused on the the three sub ontologies, the commentaries that Smith et al and Rheer et al made with respect to their use and some questions about what a Directed Acyclic Graph means.
I am particularly interested in what the OBO is doing with respect to top level ontology development.

Introduction to the Gene Ontology

I led the seminar today, introducing the concepts of the Gene Ontology. This was a very light "getting to know you" lecture. My slides [1] focused on the the three sub ontologies, the commentaries that Smith et al and Rheer et al made with respect to their use and some questions about what a Directed Acyclic Graph means.

I am particularly interested in what the OBO is doing with respect to top level ontology development.
