OpenWetWare is based on Mediawiki software that keep track of every edit made on the site. The list of edits can be seen by clicking the history tab on the top of any page. By encouraging scientists on OpenWetWare to use their real names we provide a mechanism for attribution for good work as well as reduce the likelihood of inappropriate edits.
