OpenWetWare:Attribution

OpenWetWare is based on Mediawiki software that keeps track of every edit made on the site. The list of edits can be seen by clicking the history tab on the top of any page. By encouraging scientists on OpenWetWare to associate their real names with their edits we provide a mechanism for attribution for good work as well as reduce the likelihood of inappropriate edits. We recommend using the same name you would publish under in the hopes that edits on OpenWetWare will eventually be a source of academic merit (to compliment your traditional publication record).
