What copyright license do you use?
Am I surrendering copyright to materials I contribute?
No, you retain copyright to all materials you upload or write on OpenWetWare. You can later republish and relicense them in any way you like. However, you can never retract the Creative Commons Atrribution ShareAlike and GFDL licenses for the versions you placed here.
Why the dual license?
Long story short, we like Creative Commons for its machine and human readability. We like GNU's FDL because Wikipedia and others use it. We would like the two groups to settle their trivial differences, so that we can all move on with our lives.
You are violating my copyright, what do I do?
If you suspect a copyright violation, please leave a note on the user's talk page.
If OpenWetWare is infringing on your copyright, please contact us to request immediate removal of the copyright violation.
Can I copy material back and forth between Wikipedia and here?
Material cannot be directly transferred from Wikipedia to OpenWetWare because of a licensing conflict. However, content from OpenWetWare can be copied to Wikipedia. See OpenWetWare:Copyrights and Wikipedia:Copyrights for more information.
