MIT/Microsoft icampus Grant -- One time, $16,000 dollars in direct funding.
Future Funding Possibilities
It looks as though most funding agencies need a cover letter (1-2 pages) before the full application is sent. Also, many require being a 501(c)(3) organization. We can possibly go through MIT, but it may be better to start that registration.
A few open RFPs that might be of interest but I think the following is the best:
The due date is July 10th, so it's cutting it close. I think we should begin thinking about this immediately.

Perhaps we can get an inside track here with people we know at Sun? There are no real avenues for general applications
Once again, not really supportive of outside grants. But doesn't hurt to send in an application.
They have a new Intellectual Property and the Public Domain Program that we might fit into.
They fund OCW. Not much of a research focus, but worth a try.
Possible donation of server-space?
- Sri Kosuri 02:57, 25 April 2006 (EDT): I've talked to the person in charge of Lyceum at SXSW, and he says we should have no problem getting OWW hosted. He also said they have serious hardware resources, and regularly get slashdotted.
