Better RecentChanges Viewing

Go to the preferences menu and go to the recent changes/stub dislplay section. Click Enhanced Recent Changes. This groups changes on the same page together. This provides better viewing of changes, especially when people (drew!) save many times while making changes. --Sri Kosuri 20:26, 18 Sep 2005 (EDT)

De-Wikifying Wiki Pages

Austin wrote a nifty script that allows a site to display wiki pages, as if they were static. He did this with the Synthetic Biology site. However there is no reason other labs would not be ble to do it as well with a little work. The script caches files for 1 day (however it is still fast with no caching). Austin also cleaned up the code a bit and moved everything I thought was specific to synthetic biology to globals at the top. Download the dewikify perl script if you are interested. --Sri Kosuri 20:30, 18 Sep 2005 (EDT)

  • Add a single character 'x' to the end of any url under syntheticbiology.org and you'll automatically be brought to the edit page under openwetware. Austin 18:04, 15 Sep 2005 (EDT)
