OpenWetWare talk:Highlights

RS 11:26, 1 March 2006 (EST): I like the highlights page, but I would say it should be renamed to OpenWetWare:Highlights because it is kind of a project page. Then the two pages linked off of it could be OpenWetWare:Hightlights/OpenWetWare in the classroom and OpenWetWare:Highlights/Considering a new look. I didn't make this change cause I wanted to check and see what John and others thought. I just think that it might be nice to put all the OWW related pages in the OpenWetWare namespace. This is not the only page that needs to be moved. OpenWetWare steering committee should probably move to OpenWetWare:Steering committee.

• BC 11:52, 1 March 2006 (EST): I agree with consolidating everything into the OpenWetWare namespace. On a related topic, I also think that all of these Openwetware pages should have their "home" or primary link on the Community Portal. I would suggest that in general, stuff in OWW should be linked from the main page, stuff about OWW should be linked from the Community Portal. For example, the discussions listed on the main page right now probably belong on the Community Portal rather than the main page.
• Jasonk 12:32, 1 March 2006 (EST): Agree with barry & reshma, The only caveat is that we need to still be recruiting "power users" and one way to do that is for them to come across discussions about OWW. I do agree that everything needs to be consolidated into the Community Portal, however we still should have some links from the main page. Maybe to selected topics on the Community Portal, or maybe one of the 4 icons at the top could be a standing link to the community portal. "Help build OWW!" plus a picture of collaboration ;)
