I work in the Group for Genetic and Epigenetic maintenance at Max Planck Institute for Plant Breeding Research under the supervision of Ales Pecinka. My research is focused on the genetic and epigenetic maintenance of transposable elements in Arabidopsis species under natural and stress conditions. I am very interested in genome and epigenome evolution, stability and maintenance in photoautotroph organisms.

Research topics and interests

My main scientific interests spans from the origin of life to the evolution and natural variation of photoautotroph organisms. Further, I am interested in the genome and epigenome maintenance under ambient and stressed conditions. In this case, I am interested in the epigenetic regulation of transposable elements and their role in genome organisation and genome evolution.

Beside that, I have a huge interest in muscular physiology and metabolism. This in case includes muscular and metabolic disease. I like to understand the function of steroids, supplements and drugs on muscular and metabolic function. Thereby, I wanna know how they can occur muscular and metabolic disease (most likely by organ insufficiency).
